David’s Dance

Exhibited at Presbyterian Church (USA) for their General Assembly 2022

David’s Psalms move through lament and hope: not in a linear movement, where hope comes after leaving lament; more like a dance, where hope and lament are in an embrace. Lament pushes us to hope and hope releases us to lament. This painting series conveys this dance of lament and hope found in David’s poems/psalms.
